Essendon and Yakult Australia: A Winning Partnership

Since 2005, the Essendon Football Club (Essendon) and Yakult Australia (Yakult) have enjoyed a strong and enduring partnership, recently solidified by the extension of collaboration. This renewed agreement highlights the continued mutual value they place on each other, both professionally and within the broader community. Essendon CEO Craig Vozzo praised the longevity and commitment of Yakult’s partnership.  

As the longest-standing commercial partner of Essendon, Yakult has played a key role in the club’s operations for nearly two decades. The partnership has seen Yakult serve not only as the club’s official training ball partner but also as a vital supporter of Essendon’s flagship events. One of the most significant aspects of this collaboration is Yakult’s involvement in the Challenge game. The challenge game is an annual match in affiliation with the official charity Challenge who provides daily support for children and families living with cancer or a life-threatening blood disorder from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. The game raises funds and awareness to support children and their families as the club aims to give cancer the boot. Since 2017, Yakult has been the official partner of this highly anticipated event. Earlier this year, Yakult demonstrated its continued commitment to the Essendon community by pledging $20,000 to support cancer programs through the Challenge game.  

Yakult’s ongoing support of the Challenge game not only enhances the match itself but also creates lasting, memorable experiences for both players and supporters. This partnership continues to be a powerful force, uniting health, sport, and community in a meaningful way.
